A Passion for Harness Racing

Rick loves to cook and is working on a cookbook of family recipes.  He is an avid baker and has won over 50 ribbons at the Saratoga County Fair culinary completion.

One of my earliest memories was the Oneida County BooneviIle Fair. Track announcer and race caller … introduced the horses and drivers saying “number 3 is welcome to the Boonville Fair Today” The first time I went to Vernon Downs and saw the tote board and all the lightas I was hooked. I spent many a summer evening peeking into the padock and wishing I could be there. grew up in Oneida County New York near Vernon Downs.
